On Saturday, July 24, the coaches at Power Train Rockville led a bootcamp fundraiser to support The Stiff Person Syndrome Research Foundation, and it was a good time and great workout!

🙌 Thank you to Tyler and the amazing team at Power Train! 🙌

You couldn’t find a more good-hearted gym to raise your heart rate!

If you are interested in hosting a fundraiser like this at your place of business, let us know at info@stiffperson.org

My name is Tara Zier. My daughter trains at Power Train Rockville. I have a rare disease called Stiff Person Syndrome that has had a huge impact on my family. There are no good treatments, and no cure. You can read all about it in the Washington Post here.

Power Train Rockville created this fundraiser event for my nonprofit, The Stiff Person Syndrome Research Foundation, because grants are scarce and research is lacking. The ONLY way to make this research happen is through individual donations. Your help will fund research to end the suffering for people with SPS.

          • No equipment required
          • All fitness levels welcome
          • Bring a water bottle
          • Please provide proof of a minimum $20 donation at https://stiffperson.org/donate/ at the event

Space was limited for the workout, so participants signed up with a donation to save their spot. Some who couldn’t attend, donated.

Every dollar helps fund Johns Hopkins’ first pilot study to develop targeted therapies and stop the suffering. All money raised will go to research.
