NORD Care Giver Respite Program

The NORD Respite Program, designed for caregivers of a child or adult diagnosed with a rare disorder, provides financial assistance, which allows caregivers to attend a conference or event or simply spend some time away.

Financial assistance will be granted up to $250 biannually for those who qualify. Awards may be spread throughout the year or used for a single purpose. Awards are granted on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible individuals.

NORD Rare Disease Educational Support

As a member organization of National Organization for Rare Disorders, Inc. (NORD), The SPSRF is pleased to share the information below with SPS-community members looking for additional educational support programs.

 

These courses are designed for those diagnosed with a rare disease and immediate family/caregivers.

Angel Flight
 

ANGEL FLIGHT coordinates free air transportation for patients with medical conditions who cannot use or afford commercial airlines.

We serve all of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, the Carolinas, and Tennessee.

 

Anyone needing medical treatment who cannot use commercial transportation for financial or other reasons can request a mission flight.

 

Healthcare professionals and facilities can coordinate with us so that we can match volunteer private pilots with patients.

 

Our mission flights include frequent routine treatments, transplants, one-time operations, burn recovery and other compassionate needs. To find out if you qualify, click HERE or call 877-4-AN-ANGEL.
